U.S. Army Public Affairs Officer

Spencer Garrison found his calling in U.S. Army public affairs, with its mission to connect the American people to their Army and to tell the story of the American Soldier. This passion has only grown stronger in his nine years as a public affairs officer, representing the Army on the national stage and representing America on the world stage. In this time, he has engaged with local and international media outlets more than 200 times in Iraq, Afghanistan, Poland and throughout the U.S., written or edited more than 100 military news articles, and helped create a media engagement training manual for the Army.

A graduate of West Point and Georgetown University, Spencer believes that the American people should feel connected to their military and that American soldiers deserve to have their story told. He has made it his life's work to help build those connections and tell those stories.
